Junior Infants visit the ASD class

Every Wednesday morning, some of the Junior Infant children come to visit and play with our class. This is to help with developing our social skills, especially for those of us who will be moving on to mainstream next year. The other mornings, some of our class visit the juniors in their room and are encouraged to move between tables and engage in different play activities. We learn to take turns playing Pop up Pirate and Snakes and Ladders, serve tea and cakes to one another with the tea and cake play set, “cook and serve” food at the class play kitchen and have car races on the big road mat. We even built a Lego city together, which we really enjoyed. We look forward to Wednesdays when we all get to play and have fun together čÖé
