News from Principal

September 2019

 Dear Parents & Guardians,

Tá Fáilte Romhaibh ar ais ar Scoil.  Welcome back everyone for another great year at the Good Shepherd National School. On behalf of the staff of the Good Shepherd National School, I am delighted to welcome you to the 2019/2020 school year.

Everyone has settled really well back into routine, are working hard and appear very happy at school.

We extend a very special welcome to all our new children, especially our Junior Infants, and indeed all the other pupils who have joined us for the first time this year. We would also like to wish all our former pupils the very best in their new schools.

I am also delighted to welcome our new members of staff:

  • Quinn (Junior Infants)
  • Carty (Senior Infants)

We hope that all our new staff members feel very welcome here in the Good Shepherd.

In our school we recognise that in order to be successful our children need support from both home and school. As we start the 2019/20 school year, we know you will continue to work with us, so your child can grow in confidence, with a love of learning, and a determination to be the best that they can be. We ask that you continue to guide and support your child’s learning and encourage them to share their school experiences with you.

Go éirí an t-ádh libh ar fad! Beir bua is beannacht,

Yours sincerely,

Órlaith Veale
