Our Fifth Green Flag!

Well done to the Green School Committee and Mrs Jackson for all of their work in obtaining our first, second, third, fourth and now FIFTH Green Flag for the Good Shepherd N.S.! It took a lot of hard work and dedication and we are delighted to have it flying outside our school. A big thank you to our two fifth class students represented our school so well at an award ceremony in DCU to receive our flag.

A Quick Word from the Green School Committee

We are happy to bring home our fifth flag for Biodiversity which our school earned for our work in helping to keep our planet green.

For your information an 11 year old girl called Flossie, has raised over €3000 to purchase and install Ireland’s first ever sea bins which collect litter from the oceans via a pump and tide action.

Flossie in partnership with DLRCC is organising a ‘March for the Oceans’ on Saturday the 9th June at 2.30pm, meeting beside the LexIcon. She thinks no-one will show up. If you would like to go, please wear blue and show up to help support her work.
