Science is fun!

We had great fun experimenting using materials found in our school kitchen.  We mixed baking soda and vinegar together to capture CO2 gas in a balloon.  In pairs, we began by filling a bottle with baking soda.  We then added some vinegar to a balloon.  Pinching it closed, we carefully stretched it over the mouth of the bottle.  Holding the bottle, we slowly tipped the balloon over.   Result: the balloon fills with carbon dioxide gas!
